Salary: $25.00 - $60.00 /hr

We are seeking a skilled Social Media Manager to enhance our online presence and increase engagement on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms you recommend. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in growing social media likes and followers through effective content strategies and community management and active online engagement. Responsibilities include creating engaging posts, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing growth strategies.   You will manage a team of at least two people in executing online engagement, creating a calendar and list of engagement with specific tasks for your team. You will be helping to grow a movement that includes live events focused on resisting the ongoing attacks on our democracy.  If you're passionate about progressive causes and social media and can drive results, we want to hear from you!
 

Our Social Media Manager needs to have a proven personal record supporting progressive, peaceful and patriotic causes.  This support can be in your personal life and/or your professional life.
 

Since we will be holding live events in the Washington, DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia area, we would prefer to work with someone capable of attending at least one live event every three months.
 

During your work, you will preach and practice John Lewis’s “Good Trouble”, which includes a commitment to non-violence, respect for political opponents and, where appropriate, strategic civil disobedience.  You need to tolerate folks who don't think, look, pray or vote like you.
